Lest We Forget

No, I've not forgotten about the wide world of blogging. Life has intervened and therefore I have no time. "But, James, you're on now. Obviously..." Yeah, thanks for pointing that out.

The wife and I are moving. Not that I want to so much as we need to. Her commute is nearly two hours, mine is over an hour. So, we're moving from the middle of nowhere to the center of no place. But it does cut commute time substantially. I'll miss the cool breezes and high water, the bear and turkey, and the occasional mountain lion (Oh, sorry TWRA, those don't exist here). I won't miss the Yankee leaf peepers and slow drivers. I guess we'll have it all sans the Yankees and mountain lions where we're headed.

So, all my blubbering leads to, I have been busy seeking steady employment and moving. For all you (probably 3) people who read me, thanks! And I'll keep up better once things are more stable.

Do NOT Feel the Burn!

Three weeks after my father-in-law's heart attack, he was back on the river today at Metcalf Bottoms. We moved a lot of spawning brown, but none were agitated enough to strike. Regardless of actually catching fish, it was great to see him wading around with his awkward cast and the uncanny knack of catching something when no one else does. Except for today; the skunkage attacks. Glad to have you back on the river, Scott!
